Not everything becomes a finished note. The notebook is where Nicole Junkerman keeps the rest: a list of streets to revisit, a half-remembered line, a small question left open for later.
It is meant to stay loose. These are the margins of the map, the working scribbles that sometimes grow into a route or a page of writing and sometimes simply stay as they are — useful, modest and honest.

From scribble to page
A good note rarely arrives finished. It starts here as a scribble and, if it keeps its meaning, moves on to the reading shelf or a piece of writing.
Nicole Junkerman lets most of it stay small. The notebook is happy to be the quiet workshop behind the rest of the atlas.
