About this blog
A map made of books
This is the writing room of the atlas. Where the Reading page keeps a short shelf and the Cities page keeps portraits of places, the blog joins the two: it asks what a place reads like, and which books carry its weather, its streets and its quiet. Every piece here is written by Nicole Junkerman in the same calm voice as the rest of the site.
Read them in any order. The newest sit at the top, but the atlas has no required route, and most of these pages reward a second visit more than a first.
